She moved from Kentucky to Fort Wayne, Indiana, and later to Garrett, Angola and Hamilton. She graduated from South Side High School with the Class of 1949. On January 16, 1954, she married Wilbur Lee Jones. Along with being a homemaker, she worked in food service at Tri-State College between 1986 and 1998. She had been a member of Bread of Life Church in Garrett and Hamilton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sons: Eric L. (Mary Beth) Jones of Chandler, Arizona, Keith A. (Adelle) Jones of Mesa, Arizona, Timothy E. (Nancy) Jones of Frankfort,Indiana, John P. (Dawn) Jones of Ft. Wayne and Michael P. (Tina) Jones of Angola, Indiana; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Kevin Jones and brother, William Freyhof.
