A funeral service for Linda Vandivier Cummings, 78, of Jeffersonville, Indiana will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Scott Funeral Home with burial following in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Linda was born May 29, 1938 in Franklin, IN. to Harold and Pauline Vandivier.
She was a graduate of Franklin College and retired from United Mercantile Agency. She was a long time member of the Morton Memorial United Methodist Church and later joined Southeast Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; long-time companion, Forrest Barr; brother, David Vandivier; and sister, Nancy Johnson.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Sarah E. (Scott) Gorman; son, Mark T. (Stephanie) Cummings; daughter, Karen E. (Dave) Howard; grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, and Natalie Gorman; Abbey, Aaron, and Ashley Cummings; Cheyanne Cummings, Victoria, Myles, Grant, and Isabella Howard.
