Jonesville 11/9/1931 - 12/19/2016
Tommie Edward Vestal, 85, of Jonesville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yadkinville, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Vestal was born in Yadkin County on November 9, 1931 to the late Edward Monroe Vestal and Rosa Benge Vestal. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He had a gift for wood working and crafts. He also loved building homes and reading his Bible.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death
by his sisters Marie Brown and Mary Ann Layell, and his brothers Hillary Vestal and Charles "Chuck" Vestal.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Frances Vestal of the home.
Children; Rita Sue Bowers and husband Mack of Jonesville, Deborah Baker and husband Dwayne of State Road, Gary
Vestal and wife Lori of Elkin. One brother Samuel P. Vestal and wife Judy of Wiston-Salem.
Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren also several other loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held, Friday, 2:30 p.m., December 23, 2016 at Grace Full Gospel Church by Rev. Bobby Prevette and Rev. Loren Bryant.
Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, December 23, 2016 at Grace Full Gospel Church from 1-2:30 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3739 National Drive, Suite 110, Raleigh, NC 27612, in memory of Mr. Vestal. Johnson Funeral Home of Elkin is serving the Vestal family.
