Grayce Ann Hicks, 89, of Dallas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at The Meadows Manor, Dallas.

Mrs. Hicks was born in Larksville on Sept. 19, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Louisa Harrison Law.

Grayce graduated from Larksville High School in 1945 and was employed by the former Stapinski's Drug Store in Dallas, prior to her retirement.

She was a member of the Eastern Star in Dallas and the Valley View Union Chapel in Larksville.

Grayce kept herself busy by making plastic canvas ornaments for many friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1999, and sister, Florence Dennis.

Grayce is survived by her daughters, Carol Nygren and her husband, Robert, Sweet Valley; Tena Zekas and her husband, Ronald, Shavertown; and Louise Hicks, Meshoppen; brothers, Robert Law, Dallas; and Thomas Law, Larksville; sister-in-law, Betty Lou Brown, Kingston; grandchildren, Daniel Nygren and his wife, Becky, Wyoming; Josh Wood and his wife, Chelsi, Mansfield; Adam Wood, Bowling Green, Ohio; and Rachel and Courtney Russell, Mansfield; and great-granddaughter, Carlie Grayce Nygren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. Ronald Cease of Valley View Union Chapel, Larksville, officiating.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Shavertown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Valley View Union Chapel, 10 Mosswood Drive, Larksville, PA 18651.
