An Old Settler Gone

Samuel W. Goss of Naples Buffalo Co., died at his home in that town on the 27th ult., being in his 88th year. Mr. Goss was one of the early settlers of this valley and is survived by 47 great grand children 47 grand children and six children, viz: David, Wesley, Asael and Ziba of Naples, Mrs. M. L. Robinson of Mondovi town and Mrs. Rose A. Burke of Bellevue Washington. Mr. Goss was an exemplary christian, having been a consistent member of the Methodist church for more than half a century. He goes to his reward sincerely mourned by a large number of his relatives and friends.
