Kenneth F. Galusha, 89, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at UnityPoint Trinty, Rock Island.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be 4-7pm Monday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, with a rosary at 3:30pm. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island with military honors by the American Legion Post 246, Moline. Memorials can be made to the Robert Young Center , S.P.E.C or ARC.

Ken was born April 14, 1927 in Milan, IL the son of Clarence and Claudia (Peebler) Galusha. Ken was a US Army veteran having served during WW II. He married Mary Desaunoy on June 18, 1955 in Milan.

Ken worked at the Corps of Engineers, Rock Island Arsenal, the former Augustana Book Concern and retired in 1987 from the former Tri City Blue Print, Moline. Prior to retirement he and Mary owned and operated Ken-Mar Book Craftsman out of their home.

Ken was a member of St. Pius X Church where he serves as a Eucharistic Minister, American Legion Post 246, Moline, Graphic Communication International Union and Cursillo. He enjoyed book binding as a profession and a hobby.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, John (Nancy) Galusha, Rock Island, Paula (Chris) Faulkner, Fort Madison, IA, Stephen Galusha, Rock Island, Thomas Galusha, Moline, Suzanne (Todd) Madden, Moline and Mark Galusha, Rock Island; grandchildren, Jennifer, Timothy, Matthew and Joshua and sister, Mary Ellen Magerkurth, Milan. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher, and his siblings, Clarence “Bud”, Irene, Harold, Hazel, Esther, Claude “Andy” and Betty.
