Ronald Lee Robbins, age 68, of Roanoke, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.

Ron was a great man and was dearly loved by everybody that he met. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving on the front lines in Vietnam. He loved and believed in his country just as much as he did his wife and kids. After the war, he had few jobs. Ron drove for Yellow Cab for 30 years until he retired.

He was born to his Mother, Helen Clements Robbins and his Father, John B. Robbins, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Norma Robbins. His children, Gary Robbins, Jessica and husband Joel Rock, Bobby Sue Young, Donna and her husband Korlas Marsh, and Raymond Lavender. His grandchildren, Candise Robbins, Jimmy Robbins, Amanda Young, Buddy Rock, Daniel Rock, Tabytha Rock, Keri Rock, and Dalton Rock. Also, several loving great grandchildren. His sisters and brothers, Carol and husband Albert Galvan, Betty and husband J.P. Peters, Wayne and wife Arletta Robbins, Buddy and wife Joy Robbins, Donald and wife Tina Robbins, Patty Merchant, and Brenda and husband Jimmy Martin. And many more family and friends, too numerous to name, that were loved.

A Memorial Service will be announced for a later date. Arrangements are by Oakey’s Roanoke Chapel (540-982-2100). Online condolences may be made at www.oakeys.com .
