He was born on April 8, 1939 in Convoy, Ohio to the late Franklin W. “Jake” Jacobs and the late Bessie M. (Shanyfelt) Jacobs.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam Era.
Jesse was a business owner in Tampa, Florida having owned a dry cleaners and video stores.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina (Calvin) Shaw of Decatur; a brother, Richard Jacobs of Van Wert, OH; three sisters, Thelma “Jean” Wuertz of Pinellas Park, FL; Shirley Jones of Decatur, IN; and Linda Morris of Van Wert, OH; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth & Taylor Shaw.
Jesse was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne & William Jacobs and a sister, Peggy Jacobs.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Preferred memorials are to the ACCF – Cancer Fund and may be given through Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.
