Calvin Jerome Lane, 71, of Neptune, New Jersey passed away Wednesday, Sept 21, 2016. He was born in St Petersburg, Florida on December 1, 1944.

He was employed at the Ocean Place Hilton in Long Branch, NJ for 19 years. Calvin was best known in his community in the 70’s for his candy store on Springwood Avenue, and then later for selling his clothing, hats and oils on the corner of Springwood and Avenue A in Asbury Park.

Calvin was a gentle, yet wise man with an optimistic outlook on life. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was loyal to his family and friends, and was always willing to help whenever he could.
