Ruby Amacker-Elliott passed away quietly on Dec. 10, 2015, in Tucson, Ariz., with her daughter, Becky, by her side.

Ruby was the middle of seven children, born to Bonnie Dennis and Minnie Lou Parham on Oct. 13, 1921, in Magnolia, Ark.

She married Carl Amacker in Little Rock, Ark., and they went on to have four children, CarIa, Dennis, Carolyn and Becky. For many years, Ruby worked at Kingsley Field, where she was highly respected and acknowledged. Ruby enjoyed caring for others and upon her retirement, cared for Carl until his passing in 1985, during which time she lost her only son, Dennis, to a tragic accident. In the midst of tragedy, she was inspired to volunteer for Hospice and the Meals on Wheels program.

She later met Robert Elliott and they were married in 1989. She enjoyed life with him until his passing in 2013. Her eldest daughter, Carla, passed away four days later. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Riedl and husband Steve and Becky Hickey and husband Gary; four grandchildren, Kari Tofell, Bart Tofell, Dena Sandercock and Brenda Hagge; six beloved great-grandchildren; and two beautiful great-great-grandchildren.
