Terry Wayne Karpen, 71, of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, died January 4, 2017, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born April 15, 1945, in Greeley, Colorado, he was the son of Theodore Karpen and Margaret (Calhoun) Karpen. Terry and Hope De-Ann Church were married April 20, 2012.
He was a pilot for Frontier and Continental Airlines. Terry was a Navy veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of Lighthouse Community Church, Denver, Colorado and Christ Temple Church, West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Vernon, sister Judy and brother Wilbur.
Survivors include his wife Hope of the home; daughters Traci Wuth and husband Carl of Broomfield, Colorado and Veronica Hawkins and husband Ron of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma; sons Robert Ropkin and wife Georgina of Arvada, Colorado, Michael Ropkin of Lakewood, Colorado and Robbie Howell and wife Michelle of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren Anthony and wife Abby, Alisha and husband Eve, Christopher, Matthieu, Michael, Cheyenne, Adam, Elizabeth, Dakota, Savannah and Sierra; great grandchild Adrian; sisters Kathy Riddle and husband Mark of Monmouth, Oregon and Nancy Humbert and husband Kinny of Warren, Oregon; brothers Ted Winters and wife Wiona of Monmouth, Oregon, and Scott Wells and wife Dahnielle of Walla Walla, Washington; father and mother in law Luke and June Church of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2017 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
