A native of Quitman, Miss., Bell was a resident of Sneads, Fla. He had served as a Baptist pastor for 55 years.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Bell of Sneads; three sons, Paul Bell of Butler, Ala., Dudley Kelley of Gulfport and Freddie Bell of Palatka, Fla.; three daughters, Marilin Cox of Sulligent, Ala., Patricia Gibson of Belton, Mo., and Christy Bell of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two brothers, Joseph Blythe Bell of Louisiana and James Edward Bell of Pensacola; three sisters, Evelyn Hendrix of Toxey, Ala., Vermel Valentine of Thomasville, Pa., and Mary Atwood of Ellisville, Miss.; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Phillips Funeral Home in Gilbertown, Ala. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Gilbertown.
