Rev. Ronnie R. Duncan, age 69 of Oneida, Tennessee and Pastor of the Macedonia Christian Center, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Physician’s Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Scott County on August 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Rev. Charlie and Erie Slaven Duncan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronnie Duncan, Jr., brothers Ricky Charles Duncan and Randy Gene Duncan.

He was the pastor and founder of Macedonia Christian Center for 18 years, former member of the Hamblen County Rescue Squad, Scott County Fire Department, Optimist Club, Oneida Police Department, Scott County Ambulance Service, Odd Fellows, Civil Air Patrol, Scott County Sheriff Department, and had a television and radio ministry for 9 years.

He is survived by his wife, Eula Jones Duncan, daughers Barbie Duncan Llanos of Oneida and Amber Chambers of the home; grandchildren, Bretlee, Conner and Allie Privett, several nieces and nephews including special nephew Randall Duncan and other relatives and friends.Friends may visit with the Duncan Family on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral at 8 p.m. at the Macedonia Christian Center in Oneida, with Bro. Phillip Kazee and Bro. Randall Duncan officiating.

Music will be provided by the Dalton’s.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the Smith-Forbis Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randall Duncan, Chad Duncan, Tyler Duncan, Tanner Duncan, Gary Chambers and Leland Babb.

Honorary pallbearers will be Herb Smith, Luther Burke, Clifton Ellis, Tony Ashcraft, Dr. Larry Wolfe and Chris Neal West-Murley Funeral Home is serving the family of Rev. Ronnie Duncan.
