Susan “Susie” Peters, 56, of Hershey passed away on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at the Penn State M.S. Hershey Medical Center after a brief illness. Susie was a resident of a loving Allegheny Valley School group home, and formerly lived on Harvey Road in Hershey.
Born on March 28, 1960 in Harrisburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Jean Heckman Peters.
Susie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She especially loved being with each of her brothers and their families every week. As a resident of the Allegheny Valley School, she received loving care every day from very special caregivers. They will be missed.
Susie was a member of Fishburn United Methodist Church and was an original member of the Friends class taught by Pat Shaw and Delores Winters.
Susie is survived by her four brothers, Earl of Middletown, Joe (Vicki) of Hershey, Kenneth (Donna) of Wernersville, John of Hershey, as well as many loving nieces and nephews, cousins and a special Aunt Mary Anderson in Fleetwood PA..
Her unconditional love of her family and friends will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 7th at Fishburn United Methodist Church, 1215 Fishburn Road, Hershey at 11AM. There will be no viewing. Friends will be received following the service. Interment will be in Fishburn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
