Earl E. Bell, 82, a lifelong Marquette resident, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 29, 2016 at the Norlite Nursing Center in Marquette.
Earl was born on June 17, 1934 in Marquette, to the late Earl and Amelia (Fitzpatrick) Bell.
He was the co-founder of Bell Roofing Company in 1962, retiring from his work in 1985. On March 26, 1996, he married the former Beulah H. Tousignant in Marquette and she preceded him in death on December 3, 1999.
Earl was a member of Diocese of Marquette Bishop's Ambassadors and the Knights of Columbus- St. Christopher Council. He was also a member of Marquette Elks Lodge #405, American Legion Post #44 and the Marquette Golf Club. He was an avid fisherman and went fishing every chance he got.
Earl is survived by two brothers, Joseph (Carol) Bell of Marquette and Gordon Michael "Mick" (Judy) Bell of Ann Arbor, MI; also several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death besides his parents and his wife, Beulah, was a brother, Marvin Bell, as well as an infant brother.
A Funeral Mass will be held in the Spring of 2017. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
