Jean Lund, died on January 3, 2017. Born in Lakewood, Ohio on April 9, 1926 to Dr. Jay Durkee Bradish and Mary Hyatt Bradish, Mrs. Lund graduated from New London High School in the wartime class of 1943 and from the Ohio State University with a BA in Journalism in 1947. She retired from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1991 with 28 years of service. She continued to work for Dr. Herman E. Schmid at Senoir Care in Winston-Salem, a private medical clinic. Mrs. Lund was a member of Beth David Synagogue in Greensboro and Temple Emanuel in Winston-Salem. First married to Kenneth F. Stuart of Bremen, Ohio, senior engineer at the Western Electric Company, she accompanied him to Winston-Salem in 1952. She was later married to Harry Lund, a Winston-Salem businessman. She was preceded in death by her son, David Bradish Stuart, and her grandson, David Benjamin Stuart. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Suannah and James Flynn of Brooklyn, New York, her granddaughter and husband, Drucilla and Brennan Rees and her great granddaughter, Ireland Rees all of New York City; and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Stuart, and husband, Richard Miller of Chapel Hill, N.C. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Frank Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Sinai cemetery.
