DENVER Colo. Ruth Esther England, 93, former Lisbon resident passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 11:05 p.m. in Denver, CO.
Ruth was born in Lisbon, OH on February 1, 1917 to Bessie and William Lipe. She was baptized in and has remained a member of Lisbon's First Christian Church since February 22, 1931. Ruth graduated from David Anderson High School on June 6, 1935. On March 28, 1937, she married John Douglas England in New Castle, PA.
In addition to her devoted daughter, caregiver, and best friend, Kathy England-Forbes, she is survived by her loving friends in Denver who will miss her wonderful sense of humor, loving personality and the hundreds of hugs she happily shared. She is also survived by life-long friends Elizabeth Peterson and Bernice Mason of Lisbon, OH.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, John Lipe England; and her grandson, Steven Douglas Shamp.
Private services will be held.
