Carolyn Lynn (Kucha) Bowers, 58, a lifelong resident of Hambden, passed away Monday morning, January 4, 2016, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on May 27, 1957. in Claridon Township, daughter of Nicholas and Niva (Shrock) Kucha. She was a graduate of Cardinal High School.
Carolyn married Les Bowers May 22, 1979.
She was a member of Hambden Alliance Church. She worked for Hambden School 3 years as a recess aide and crossing guard, and retired after 10 years working at Park Elementary School in Chardon. She then enjoyed babysitting her grandson. She loved Christmas and spending time with her family.
She will be missed dearly by her friends and family; her loving husband Les Bowers of 36 years; her son Michael (Danielle) Bowers of Winston Salem, NC; her daughter Audra Bowers of Chardon; her grandson Aiden; her brother Richard (Debbie) Kucha of Garrettsville; 2 sisters, Marilyn Kucha of Chardon and Sandra (Keith) Kamp of Hambden; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Nicholas Kucha.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, OH 44062. A Celebration of Life will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Hambden Township Cemetery.
