Gene Earl Adams, 67, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Franks, Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.
Gene was born November 17, 1949 in Quanah, Texas to Louis Pode and Lahoma Elizabeth (Matthews) Adams. He was a veteran, serving in the US Air Force. Gene married the love of his life, Billie Frances Nielsen on May 30, 1999 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked for Mack Trucks where he retired after 30 years of service and was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park. He was a music lover and enjoyed spending his time fishing and reading, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and his German Shepherd, Sugar. Gene is preceded in death by his father and his brother, Ronnie Adams.
