Karen Domengeaux Wilde, peacefully left this world to be with the Lord January 2, 2017 while surrounded by her family in her Houston, TX home.
She was born May 30, 1958 to her father the late Roy Domengeaux and her mother Mary June Domengeaux in Lafayette, Louisiana. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Louisiana Lafayette and is a Kappa Delta Alum.

Her memory will live on through her loving husband Dave Wilde, her children Lauren Wilde Whittington, and husband David Whittington, Zachary Wilde and Hannah Reynolds Wilde, the two joys of her life Drake Zachary Wilde and Halston Wilde Hynes, her mother Mary June Domengeaux, Her four siblings, Liz, Cheryl, Chris and Adam and countless friends and family who's live's she impacted deeply.

Karen, who loved and served the Lord daily, was a pilar of strength to so many and a fighter for the good in any person or circumstance. She fought for children's rights as a Child Advocate volunteer for many years, she raised her children to fight for what they wanted and have the strength to conquer any fear, she was a blessing to so many who received good counsel from her in need and, in the end fought a fierce battle with cancer for 5 years and was victoriously called home to her place with God in eternity.

Karen was a woman who always had a plan and as her faith grew stronger with the Lord everyday, she was able to see a much better plan. One that he so beautifully orchestrated for her. One that took little earthly effort but deep faith. Anyone who knew her well will tell you that they were inspired by her unwavering faith and they were brought closer to God by being near her. Karen herself would tell you that God used her struggle to lead her into a deeper relationship with him, her heavenly silver lining. She used her battle with cancer as a way to share the gospel and lead other's into a deeper spiritual relationship with our Heavenly Father, fulfilling his good, pleasing and perfect will for her on this earth.

We will miss her deeply but, we feel her presence strongly and know that God will reveal her spirit to us as we pray to feel her presence. Karen was, and will always be compassionate, empathetic and God-fearing. A beautiful woman, loving wife and mother, loyal daughter, sister and friend and a child of the most high King.

A visitation is planned for 12:30 pm on Friday, January, 6 2017 followed promptly by a service at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery at 1101 Antoine, Houston, TX 77055 to celebrate her life. Family and friends are welcome to a gathering immediately following the service at The Wilde's family home.
