Jannie Mae Sims Boyd, 62, who was born to the late Bosie Mabry and Beatrice Sims Moser on July 14, 1954 in Rowan County made her transition on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Mrs.Boyd was a 1972 graduate of North Rowan High School and before her declining health she was a caregiver at Trinity Oaks. She leaves memories to her sons, Robert K. Boyd and Bosy A. Boyd both of Salisbury; daughter, Tukeitha Sims; brothers, Walter (Donna) Sims of Arizona and Michael Sims of Salisbury; sisters, Dianne S. Robinson of East Spencer and Lillie Sims Moser of Salisbury; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation and Service: Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 2 p.m., at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel, burial will follow in Byers Cemetery. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Boyd/Sims family.
