Herman Edward Rogers, age 88 of Sparta, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, January 2, 2017, in Sparta. Born Wednesday, September 19, 1928 in Sparta, he was the son of the late Herman Leo Rogers and the late Irene Blackwell Rogers.
Mr Rogers was the owner of Edd Rogers Chevrolet in Sparta, White County’s oldest automotive business. Services for Mr. Rogers will be conducted on Friday, January 6, 2017, in the chapel of
Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Doug White officiating. Interment will follow in the
Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mr Rogers is survived by his two sons, Eddie Rogers and his wife Elaine and
Ronnie Rogers and wife Beverly, all of White County, Tennessee.
one sister - Kathleen Lollar and her husband Bill of Hamilton County, Tennessee;
brother-in-law -- Harry Fraser of Loudon County, Tennessee;
three grandchildren - Shane Rogers and wife Kayla of White County;
Stacey Underhill and husband Jarrod of Warren County, Tennessee;
Cain Rogers and wife Cameron of White County;
three great grandchildren - Lane Edward Rogers, Levi Wayne Rogers both of White County;
Easton Brown Underhill of Warren County.
Mr. Rogers was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mrs Billie Jean Rogers; sister, Barbara Fraser and brother, Kenny Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the White County High School Fishing Team c/o White County High School. A sport for which Mr. Rogers was very passionate.
