Sherman- Funeral services for Doris Irene Decker will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 5 at Waldo Funeral Home. Dr. Mike Lawson will officiate and burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Decker, 92, passed away Tuesday, January 3 in the Homestead of Denison.

Doris was born October 2, 1924 in Gorey, Texas to the late George and Mamie (Mullins) Chamberlain. On August 15, 1947, Doris and Walter Decker were married in Sherman. She worked at Texas instruments from 1967 to 1987 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman for over 60 years.

Mrs. Decker is survived by one daughter, Karen Hightower of Pottsboro; one sister, Christine Robertson of Sherman; two granddaughters, Brook Schroder of Pottsboro and Christine Flemming of Sherman; and six great grandchildren, Killian, Kaitlyn, Branson, Paysha, Dylan, and Anna. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter, Joan Flemming.
