Frank D. “Precious” Alley, 83 of Alley Branch, Catlettsburg passed away Monday January 2, 2017 in Community Hospice Care Center with his family at his side.Frank was born April 4, 1933 in Catlettsburg, KY, son of the late Charles M. and Virginia Boyd Alley. He was a graduate of Boyd County High School, after graduation he joined the Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Worchester being honorably discharged in 1954. He was a retired in 1994 as a Sheet Metal Worker, he was also a member of American Legion Post 93 of Kenova, WV and Ashland Baptist church.Survivors include one son Brandon and his wife Amy of Ashland, two grandsons he adored, Slone and Sawyer. Also surviving are his sisters Lois Marushi (Bill) of Catlettsburg, Janet Roark of South Point, OH and Dottie Spradlin of Boykin, VA, one brother Bill Alley (Connie) of Catlettsburg, and his girlfriend Eleanor Deskins of Catlettsburg, and sister-in-law Frances alley of Catlettsburg, his special friend Jim Finley and numerous other friends and family.Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roy, John, Tom and Jim, and sister Charlene Williams.A Funeral Service to honor Mr. Alley will be at 1:00pm Thursday January 5, 2017 at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Pastor Daniel Crump will officiate. Final resting place in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Military honors by Kenova Post 93 and the US Navy at the cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 11:00am until service time Thursday at the Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers donation may be made to: American Legion Post 93, P.O. Box 26, Kenova, WV 25530.
