Marsha Jean (Naprstek) Pearson, 68, of Jasper, Texas, died suddenly Monday, January 2, 2017, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Marsha was born January 3, 1948, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Milford and Myrtle (Bartos) Naprstek. She was united in marriage to Joe Pearson on May 9, 1969, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington. They moved to Texas years ago. The couple raised three sons, Mike, Todd & William. Joe preceded her in death on August 22, 2007.

She found love again when she met Ralph Cofty. The couple lived in Jasper, Texas. They also had a timeshare in Kissimmee, Florida, where they so enjoyed spending time with family and numerous friends from around the world.

Marsha loved to travel, collect chickens, glassware, and antiques, fish, quilt, and Facebook. Every summer she would come “home” to Nebraska for the annual family reunion. She had a keen sense of humor, “the Naprstek humor”, for those who understand! Her death was sudden and unexpected, and she is celebrating her birthday today in Heaven.

Survivors include her companion, Ralph Cofty of Jasper, TX; sons, Mike (Lana) Pearson of Liberty, TX, Todd Florom of Kentucky, and William (Cerissa) Florom of Dayton, TX; two granddaughters, Brandy Marie, and Makenzie; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin (Carol) Naprstek of Meter, GA, Milton (Arla) Naprstek of Minden, NE, and Milford “Hap” (Loretta) Naprstek of Lexington, NE; five sisters, Mary Todd of Simi Valley, CA, Sally (Wes) Esslinger of Lexington, NE, Marilyn Fuqua of Kearney, NE, Martha (Ed) Dory of Lexington, NE, and Marjorie (George) Trent of Columbus, NE; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Tonya; siblings, Marvin, Maxine, and Marion.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 6, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Rob Kuefner and Pastor William Ohlmann officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with local arrangements
