William Danforth Williams was a High School teacher at Booker T. Washington and a student at this time during the race riots of 1921, a student of W.D.Williams later on recalled W.D. telling them his senior class had to cancel the prom and the graduation due to the turmoil May 31- June 1-1921 . His Spouse, Mary Sneed Robinson Williams, worked for Social Services as a case worker.
They married abt 1928. They had 2 children Anita Myrtle Williams Christopher (Charles Edward) and David Owens Williams. William Danforth Williams, His parents were John Wesley Williams and Loula Cotten Williams. On the 1918 draft card of John Wesley Williams it states he was tall, slender, eyes were brown, his hair was black, he lived at 102 N. Greenwood, Tulsa, Okla, occupation Grocer, nearest relative to notify is Lulu T Williams; John Wesley Williams states he was born July 3-1881 in Tupelo, Lee County, Mississippi; Notice: tombstone etched 1883- 1940, # 109995369 died January 19, 1940 Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma & spouse Loula Cotten Williams born 2-23-1880 in Tupelo, Lee County, Mississippi, died Sept 18, 1927 in Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma; she could be at this cemetery & calls to Crown Hill are not answered, I heard this Cemetery is under new ownership. She & John Wesley Williams married in Tulsa Oklahoma March 10, 1909.
