William E. Beals, 73, of Hyndman, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at his home.
born Nov. 18, 1943, in Cumberland, MD. he was the son of the late Victor and Emma (Miller) Beals.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Beals; and a sister, Eleanor "Sugar" Hosselrode.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice A. (Troutman) Beals, whom he married July 31, 1966; children, Victor Beals of Hyndman, Ricky Beals and wife, Barb, of Wellersburg, Pam Kennell and husband, Lynn, of Wellersburg, Chris Beals and fiancé, Eric Bittner, of Hyndman; grandchildren, Nicole, Travis, Josh, Sandra, Blake, Cassy, Coty, and Cory; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Cami, Alaina and Jade; a brother, Ronnie Beals and wife, Judy, of Hyndman; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Beals retired from CSX Railroad, in 2001, after 40 years of service.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman, on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Funeral service will be private.
Burial at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery.
