David Crawford Sheridan of Vienna passed away December 30, 2016, at Harmer Place Rehabilitation Center in Marietta, OH, following an extended illness. He was born February 29, 1952, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Dr. Richard B. Sheridan, M.D. and Nancy Crawford (Sheridan) Cawley.

David graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1970 where he was very active on the golf team which won two consecutive state titles. He attended and played golf for West Virginia Wesleyan College. His love of golf led him to become a Golf Pro and a Manager at a variety of golf clubs.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Mt. Olivet Lodge #3 AF & AM, he was also a member of the Royal Order of Jesters, Court #156, Parkersburg,

David is survived by his wife of 24 years, Marlene Sheridan; his mother Nancy Crawford (Sheridan) Cawley; his brother, Richard B. Sheridan III; his son, John (Jacqueline) Sheridan; his stepson, Vincent (Christine) Post III; his stepdaughter, Claudine (Chad) Woodyard; his niece, Katharine (Jason) Perrine; his grandson, John Brinsley Sheridan II; and his stepgrandsons, Trevor and Jacob Woodyard, and Vincent Post IV.

David was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Richard B. Sheridan, M.D.; sister-in-law, Anne Deuel Sheridan; grandparents, Richard B Sheridan and Genevieve Corgan Sheridan; and Harold Duncan Crawford and Katharine Ambler (Handlan) Crawford.

The family would like to thank the love and care provided by Theresa Wagner of BrightStar and the comfort and care provided by Harmer Place.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, at 11:00 am, at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg.
