Cumberland, MD – Louella Catherine White, 91, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 18, 1925 in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Hyder D. Reed and Clyde Mae (Rice) Reed.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. White; a daughter: Beatrice Koch; her brothers: Walter Reed and Hyder Reed; and a grandson: Edward Scott Simpson; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A graduate of Fort Hill High School Class of 1943, Louella was a former employee of Celanese Fibers Corporation of America. She was a member of Club #43 and Davis Memorial United Methodist Church where she held many positions in the United Methodist Womens’ Group. She was a former member of the Chapter #426-EAA; a former Den Mother of the Cub Scouts; and former member of the Fort Hill Band Parents.
Louella is survived by her son: Daniel White and wife Jeanne, Cumberland, MD; son-in-law: Albert Koch, Cumberland, MD; granddaughter: Krista Brode and husband Rick, Cumberland, MD; grandson: Scott Angelo and wife Alicia, Cumberland, MD; and her great-grandchildren: Ricky Brode, Jr, Briana Brode, and Holden Rollins.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rob Pierson officiating.
Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery.
