Mr. Fayard was a native and lifelong resident of the St. Martin Community. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a retired Navy veteran. He was a retired machinist supervisor from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile B. and Frances Broussard Fayard.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Peggy Fayard of St. Martin; a daughter, Brenda Hanser of Vancleave; a son, Michael James Fayard of Gautier; a brother, Jack Fayard of St. Martin; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. A service will be at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be in Bosarge Cemetery.
