Ariam Obedience Mobley was born August 17, 1869, and departed this life at her home in Boone township, Texas county, Mo., November 1, 1929, making her age at time of death 60 years, 2 months and 14 days.

She was united in marriage with J. R. Buckner February 21, 1895. To this union were born seven children, five girls and two boys. Two daughters preceded her in death, Elsie and Mrs. Lucy Davidson. Those living are Mrs. Fannie Sappenfield, of Texas; Mrs. Della Buckner, of Ferguson, Mo.; Mrs. May Buckner, of Edansville, Mo.; George Buckner, of Nevada, Mo.; Mangrum Buckner, of Ferguson, Mo. All were present at their mother's funeral except Fannie. Besides the children, she leaves to mourn their loss a husband and 15 grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters: J. W. Mobley, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Chris C. Mobley, of Oildale, Calif.; J. F. Mobley, of Los Angeles, Calif.; I. C. Mobley, whose present address is unknown; Mrs. Esther Nie, of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Mary Wood, of Kinderpost, Mo., besides a host of other relatives and friends.

She was converted January, 1920, and joined the church in May, 1920, and lived a devoted christian life until Jesus called her home. She was a kind, loving mother and companion. Those who loved her most were those who knew her best.

Impressive funeral services were conducted Sunday morning, November 3, by Rev. Andrew C. Davis, assisted by Rev. S. C. Thompson, both of Licking. The body was laid to rest in the Mitchell cemetery in the presence of a large congregation, there to await the resurrection morning.
