Pat Henderson, 61, a loving family man, passed from this life on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at home. Celebration of life: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Chapel with a reception immediately following in the Live Oak Room. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montessori Enrichment Fund at the Montessori School of Fort Worth.

A lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Pat was born June 8, 1955, the third of six children born to Clifford Edward "Eddy" and Dana Beth Day Henderson. Pat graduated from R.L. Paschal High School where he met his future wife, Amy, then earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan University and an MBA from Baylor University. He was employed by General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin) from 1979 until his retirement in May, 2016. Pat worked in the program office where he helped implement F-16 programs in Bahrain, South Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia. Through his work, he became a very experienced and passionate world traveler. Pat was community minded and served on the Benbrook City Council and the Benbrook Baseball Commission in the early 1990s. As the father of two boys, he rarely missed one of their sporting events from childhood through their high school years. Pat worked tirelessly supporting his wife's passion for educating children using the Montessori method. Fully devoted to his family, Pat was a mindful father and loving husband, encouraging family members to reach beyond what they thought possible. The family made time for yearly vacations and will cherish those special times together. Pat considered family relationships his most important work, both for his immediate and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Tim Henderson and Mike Henderson.

Survivors: Wife, Amy D'Ann; sons, Brett and fiancee, Alli, Byron and wife, Stephanie; sisters, Kerri (Danny) Holloway, Laurie (Stuart) Monroe, Stacey (Mike) Henss; sister-in-law, Diana (Tim's wife); numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends who will miss him and his great sense of humor.
