Terry Eugene Sharp, 61, of West Lafayette, went to the big race track in the sky at 1:10 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Terry was born in Dyer, IN, April 30, 1955, the son of Betty Jane Wyat Sharp.
He was a truck driver for many years and then became a welder at Wabash National. Terry loved NASCAR and dirt track racing. He was married to Carole Wolff on December 14, 1987; she survives.
Also surviving are five children, Cherry (Brian Hardin) of West Lafayette, Autumn (David) Wilkerson of Lafayette, Bryan Sharp of West Lafayette, Jennifer Nicole Sharp of Rossville, and Ashley Sharp of West Lafayette; two step-sons, Justin Weathers of Lebanon, IN, and Brennon (Kristen) Weathers of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Joe, Angel, Shyanne, Cole, Harley, Deakan, Jayden, Talon, Jackson, Damien, Andrew, Allexis, Kylei, Peyton, Karlee, Charlie, Zoey, Rylie; one great-grandson, Adam Eugene; a brother, Keith Sharp; and a niece, Leela. He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Christin Weathers.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM Friday at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, with Chaplin Tom Covington officiating. Friends may call from noon until time of services.
