Raymond Noble Bacoat, age 56, of Christiana Meadow Apartments departed this life on June 20th, 2015 to be with the Lord. He was born at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD to Dennis Bacoat and Gladys Arlene Dennis. Ray has five siblings living in the Baltimore area; he was educated in the public and state schools attending special classes at Stubbs School in 1969. In his later years, Ray spent time at the Stockley Center until he moved to his first home in the community. Ray attended Delaware Elywn for several years until he became employed by Acme. He worked at the Pike Creek Acme for many years. Ray was known for his pleasant personality. He was an avid entertainer; he enjoyed singing and dancing while performing as an Elvis impersonator. He also enjoyed telling stories and singing karaoke. Raymond loved to perform as his idol Elvis and had the opportunity to appear on a local TV station in Delaware and in Philadelphia at St. Joseph's College for their annual summer event. Ray attended Delaware Park every month for karaoke. He traveled to the birth place of his idol and took a tour of the Graceland Mansion. Mr. Bacoat recorded some of his singing talent and was affectionately known as 'Ray Elvis'. Ray was a member of several church organizations and was a member of the Brandywine Social Club for many years. Ray rekindled a past relationship and this union lead to marriage of his loving wife Amanda Miller for the last two years. He will be greatly missed by his extended family, his support staff, the Community Systems Family and a host of very close family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday June 26, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Beeson Funeral Home 2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark Delaware 19702. Friends and family may call on Friday June 26, 2015 at 10:00 A.M.
