Robert V. Tidmarsh, 77, of Varna, died at OSF Saint Francis on December 31, 2016. Born to the late Virgil and Mildred Nenne Tidmarsh, he married Sally Boley on October 24, 1987 in Sarasota Florida. Bob started as a school bus driver for LaRose high school before entering the army in 1962. After six years in the Army, he was a house painter in Florida and Illinois for many years. Bob was the last surviving Tidmarsh of Marshall County, living in the same area his great grandfather Abel Tidmarsh did when he came from England in 1855. Bob was a member of the American Legion and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Varna.
Robert is survived by his wife Sally; his two sisters, Ruth Johnston of Honolulu and Rebecca (Daryl) Klusendorf of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews that he loved.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at 1 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Varna, the Reverend Peter Glock officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials can be made to Saint Paul's Lutheran Church
