Larry Allen Sutton, 78, of Washington, Virginia died peacefully Friday December 9, 2016 at the Winchester Medical Center. Larry was born in Elkins, West Virginia to the late Burnell Lance Sutton and the late Mae Elizabeth Lafayette Sutton born September 23, 1938.
Larry was a veteran of both the United States Marine Corps and the U.S. Army, having been honorably discharged from both. During his working life that followed he was an Engineer for what has become to be known as Dominion Power. He attended the Washington Baptist Church.
Larry is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Vivian Boyd Sutton, their son Christopher and his wife Elizabeth, their two children; Michael and Andrew Sutton of Aldie, Virginia.
Larry also survived by his five brothers; Duane, Colin, John, Dixie and Randall and their families, as well as numerous extended family, friends and close loved ones.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels and Cremation Services of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Washington Baptist Church, 180 Gay St. Washington, Virginia with the Dr. Rev. Walt Childress officiating.
Interment will follow at the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
