Howard W. Ward, age 86, of Lula, Ga., died Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, in Clayton, Ga., following an extended illness.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at the Little Davenport Chapel. The Rev. Philip McQueen will officiate and interment will be in the Belton Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 11 a.m. until the funeral time.
Mr. Ward was born in Lula, Ga. He served in the Army during the Korean War and retired from General Motors after 40 years of service.
Mr. Ward was preceded in death by parents Lucinda and Frank Ward; son Jackie Lunsford; sister Thelma Bradberry; sister and brother-in-law Lois and Lawrence Jones; sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Jack Green; brother and sister-in-law Frank and Bertha Ward.
