ELLICOTTVILLE - Keith M. Sischo, 87, formerly of Ellicottville, passed away Sunday (Dec. 25, 2016) in Roscoe.
He was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Cherry Creek, the son of the late Claude and Lelia (Wightman) Sischo.
On Aug. 5, 1950, he married the former Eva J. Hotchkiss, who survives. Mr. Sischo was a veteran of the U.S. Army and owned and operated a television repair shop in Ellicottville. He was employed as a electronics technician at AVX in Olean for 26 years. He was a lifelong musician with his band, The Goldtones. He also enjoyed skiing, golf, motorcycles, model airplanes, fencing and gardening. He also enjoyed entering in the Great Valley Regatta every year and he also spent years raising Australian shepherds.
Besides his loving wife of 66 years, he is survived by two daughters, Beverlee (Harold) Swartwout of Hancock, and Michelle (Stephen Rogers) Sischo of Chapel Hill, N.C.; three grandchildren, Jason (Erin) Grover, Jamie (Damian) Munn and Landon Rogers; and four great-grandchildren, Aria, Cadence and Makenna Hill, and Logan Grover. Also surviving is a sister, Margaret Millspaw of Canandaigua; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Leia Grace Rogers; and a brother, Malcolm Sischo.
Burial will be in Cherry Creek Cemetery.
