Johnny M. Bates, age 75, of Princeton, Texas, passed away December 30, 2016. Johnny was born January 20, 1941, in Princeton, Texas, to Lloyd and Mary (Rogers) Bates.
He is survived by his sons, Kevin Bates, Kent Bates and wife, Krysta, and Kody Bates and wife, Christi, all of Blue Ridge, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Bates, Dakota Bates, Hunter Bates, Haley Bates, and Leven Bates, all of Blue Ridge; three brothers; three sisters; and a host of other loving family memberS and friends.
He was preceded in death his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2017, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Van Winkle Cemetery in Climax, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
