RIPLEY – A.C. Hatch was born the son of Reverend Arch and Callie Hatch on December 10, 1926, in Ripley. He professed a hope in Christ at a young age and joined St. John M.B. Church. He later became a minster and joined, with his son, at The Christ is Life Ministry until his death.
Reverend Hatch retired from Biltrite in 1991 and began working at the Tippah County Post Office.
Reverend Hatch leaves to mourn four daughters, Sarah Hatch and Dorothy (Onnie) Luster of Ripley, Brenda Hatch of Tupelo, and Anita Hatch of Broken Arrow, Okla.; eight sons, William (Betty) Hatch of Ripley, David (Lillie) Hatch of Albany, Ga., Perry Hatch of Naperville, Ill., Michael (Monica) Hatch of Ripley, Alvis (Cheryl) Hatch and Anthony (Dell) Hatch of Tupelo, Chris Hatch of Pontotoc, and Joshua (Kesha) Hatch of Ripley; one brother, Wayne Hatch of Chicago, Ill.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held today, January 3, 2016, from 2–8 p.m. at Foster and Son Funeral Home in Ripley. The family will be present from 6–8 p.m. Services will be held Monday, January 4, 2016, at 2 p.m. at St. John M.B. Church in Ripley. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in St. John Church Cemetery.
