DANVILLE — Funeral for Imogene Vest Hensley, 88, of Danville will be Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hensley, who died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at Country Cottage, was born Thursday, July 19, 1928, to Herman Vest and Estelle Wallace Vest. She attended Enon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Hensley; her parents; one brother, Wendell Vest; and one great-grandchild, Ison Daniel Hensley.
Survivors include three sons, Randy (Donna Jo) Hensley, Keith (Lori) Hensley and Kim (Donna Melissa) Hensley; one daughter, Sheila Hensley McCaig; two brothers, Copeland Vest and James “Mac” Vest; five sisters, Alyine Keenum, Dorothy Smith, Patsy Ritterhouse, Peggy Appleton and Sandra Roden; nine grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shannon McCaig, Will Bridges, Chase Hensley, Jayme Johnson, Austin Johnson, Rodney Weaver, Dustin Harris and Cody Graves.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Home Health, the staff at Country Cottage Decatur and Hospice of the Valley.
Donations may be made to Enon Baptist Church Building Fund and Hospice of the Valley.
