BOOKER T. ADKINS was the son of Will "Willie" Adkins Sr. and Mrs. Luvenia (Williams Buchanan) Adkins.

His siblings are Louvenia, Willie Jr., John, Ophelia, Essie May, Estelle, Candasia "Daisy", Edgar D., Ernestine, Mary, Tenzie and Jallop.

He was the husband of Mrs. Mary D. Adkins.

He passed away while a patient at Marion County Hospital, in Jefferson Funeral services for BOOKER T. ADKINS were held on Thursday, July 7, 1977 at Antioch Baptist Church in Harrison County. He was laid to rest on the grounds of Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home.

The obituary further reported that he was "survived by four brothers: John Adkins, of Marshall, Willie Adkins Jr., of Carthage, Jallop Adkins, of Tyler and Edgar D. Adkins, of Marshall; and six sisters: Ophelia Fowler, Earnestine White and Daisy Buchanan, all of Dallas, and Mary V. Hugh, Tenzie Jackson and Essie May, all of Karnack."
