Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her husband, Harvell Clearon Montgomery; parents, Samuel Elbert Harless and Sarah Catherine Smith Harless; brothers, Samuel Edgar Harless, Thomas Eugene Harless, Glendon Earl Harless; and sister, Mary Evacile Harless Adams.
Mrs. Montgomery was born on April 9, 1930, in Brownville, Alabama. She graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, enjoyed her church activities and especially singing in the church choir.
She was an excellent seamstress and loved knitting, crocheting, tatting, smocking and other craft handwork. Mrs. Montgomery was a member of Hargrove Road Baptist Church and former member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Her final resting place will be Williamson Cemetery, Northport, Alabama, interred next to her husband of 58 years.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Anand Pandey, Dr. Arti Pandey, as well as the nurses and assistants of Somerby Assisted Living and Somerside Memory Care, and nurses and Chaplin at Emerald Coast Hospice in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or your local Hospice.
