Mr. K Glenn Sanders, age 70 of Cave Spring, passed away December 29, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mr. Sanders was born May 17, 1945, in Floyd County. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War serving with the 1st Air Calvary as a Crew Chief Shook Helicopter, and 228 Aviation Battalion Company C. He was 4 time state champion in Archery, and was Christian. Mr. Sandres was preceded in death by a his mother, Sarah Alice Sullins, sister, Shelby Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lovell Sanders, sons, Richard (Lea Ann) Edwards, Rome; Michael Edwards, Cave Spring; daughter, Renee (Todd) Lambert, Cave Spring; brother, Tommy ( Evelyn) Sullins, Rome; sister, Kay (Ken) Peoples, Silver Creek; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Saturday December 31, 2016 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rick Jennings, officiating. Interment will follow in Sanders Cemetery, near Cedartown. The family will receive friends from 2:30 P.M. until the funeral hour on Saturday, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.

Shaklin-Attaway Post Five Honor Guard of the American Legion will conduct full military graveside rites.

Pallbearers include the following gentlemen, Cody Edwards, Randy Dobbs, James McKnight, Evan Sullins, Troy Sullins, and Tyler Sullins.
