Mr. Lucian Lloyd Lahmon, who died in an Iowa City hospital, was taken to Linnwood cemetery, Linn county, for burial. Services were held at Turner chapel, in Cedar Rapids, Rev. Frank Ward officiating.
Mr. Lahmon was a native of Dysart and was but 28. He was the adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dayton [birth parents were Charles A. Dayton and Julia E. Paton, adopted by Henry Lahmon and Mary B. Paton Lahmon], who cared for him as their own for 28 years, as his mother died when he was but three weeks old.
The ill-fated young man had been partially paralyzed ever since he was born. (Iowa City Press-Citizen, Iowa City, IA, June 17, 1922)
