Brittany Marie Phillips, 25 of Herndon Heights, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. Brittany was a 2008 graduate of Wyoming East High School. She was a loving mother, wonderful daughter and granddaughter, caring sister, and dear friend to many.
Born on March 2, 1988 at Plattsburg, NY, she was the daughter of Kevin Phillips and Staci Mullens Phillips. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her husband, Jacob Penley (Deceased).
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Kevin Phillips and Staci Mullens-Phillips, and her son, Jarred Lane Phillips, all of Herndon Heights; two brothers, Casey Phillips and Jessica Bowers of Allen Junction and Zach Phillips and Britteny Reed of Helen; also three wonderful nieces, Brooklyn Phillips, Raelynn Phillips, and Emma Wood; and a nephew, Alex Penley. Brittany is also survived by her maternal great grandmother, Malone Mullens of Princeton, maternal grandparents, Buddy Mullens and Barbara Mullens of Mullens, and her paternal grandparents, William “Bill” Raymond Phillips (1944-2018) and Anna Jenell Buchannon-Phillips (B. 1947) of Mullens. Brittany was blessed with many aunts and uncles that loved her dearly, including her two special aunts, Debbie Phillips and Jennifer Lashley. She will be truly missed by her cousins and many friends.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Leslie Mullens officiating. Burial will follow in the Lusk Cemetery, Herndon Heights.
