Mark Anthony Byrd passed peacefully on Christmas morning while visiting family in Lyndhearst, NY.
A native of Laurel, Mississippi, Mark was born on March 4,1966. He resided in Glen Burnie, MD with his partner of 25 years, Daniel Zaborowski. Together they shared a beautiful home with their fur babies Toby, Shade and BooBoo kitty.
In Mark's early life he focused on the band. He was a rifle guard at both West Jones and JCJC. This and the friends he met was always a source of sweet memories. Mark chose to work in fields that focused on helping others. He worked at Ellisville State School in Mississippi and The South Mississippi Regional Center on the Gulf Coast. Mark was then employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda Maryland.
Mark is survived by his partner Dan and his family, Ritchie, Brian, Eileen, Billy, Caitlin and John Zaborowski.
He is also survived by his siblings Selesia, Barry, Rosemary, Jennifer and Phillip Byrd and Jim Marshal and Teri Magnant.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his step father Jack Varner.
Mark is preceded in death by His mother Paula Kaye Varner, his sister, Pam Page, his father B.L. Byrd and Dan's mother Mary Zaborowski.
