Rhonda, 54, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 18, 2016 in Alexandria. She was born July 9, 1962, in Pineville to Henry McCall, Sr. and Margaret Veal McCall. Rhonda completed her early education in the Rapides Parish School System, graduating from Pineville High School and continued her education at Northwestern State University. She enrolled in the United States National Guard and after serving her Country, she settled at home in Pineville. She began working in her profession, providing service and care to the elderly and children in need. Highlights from her work in the community that brought joy to Rhonda was her employment at St. Mary’s Central State Hospital Rehabilitation Services and her most recent work with Gulf Coast Teaching and Family Services.

Rhonda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age at Bright Morning Star Missional Baptist Church by the late Pastor P. M. Hall. She loved the Lord and served faithfully in the church. Rhonda loved to sing, give praise and speak for the Lord. She served faithfully in the Home Mission Circle and Senior Choir. She loved her pastor and worked as a faithful servant until the Lord called her home.

Rhonda had a passion for cooking and feeding the soul with her food. She took pride in cooking and serving others her delicious hardy foods. You may have entered her home as a stranger but you left as part of her family. Her love for her friends knew no bounds. She fed you, listened to your cares and would tell you hers. Never timid to ask for prayers and generously offered hers to you. Rhonda loved her family and friends and kept them close to her heart. Her engaging smile warmed her face and warmed the hearts of friends and family.

God blessed Rhonda with her only child, John Jeral Osei. She loved her son unconditionally and devoted her life to his care, nurturing and upbringing. She experienced her greatest joy when her Granddaughter Jamilla Shyann was born. She adored them both.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Callie Veal; parents, Henry and Margaret McCall; twin brother, Donald Ray and sister, Myrtle Jean McCall-Prestianni.
