Virginia was born September 27, 1925 in Edwardsville, Illinois the daughter of G. “Ray” and Margaret (Eberhart) Wheat. She married James Hugo Evans December 24, 1942 in Edwardsville, Il. He passed away June 6, 2016.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth J. (Mary Elizabeth) Evans, Havana, Il.; Gene M. (Nancy Ann) Evans, Gainesville, GA; Glen R. Evans, Clinton, Il.; 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, and four siblings.
Virginia grew up in Edwardsville, IL and graduated from Edwardsville High School. She moved to Clinton in late 1958 to open a local Western Auto Store with her husband. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing Bridge. Mostly, she loved being with her family.
