Sandra L. McGinnis, 61, of Tuckerman passed away December 29, 2016 in her home. She was born November 20, 1955 to Norman and Pauline (Reed) Mayne in Detroit, Michigan. She loved to travel. She has over the past few years traveled to Maui, Honolulu, and Pearl Harbor, HI with her family. She has also been to Marco Island, FL, The Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, parts of Colorado, Dodge City, KS, and Williamsburg, KY.
She loved her beautiful orange chevy truck and her five kitty cats, but most of all she loved her family, her five children and seven grandchildren, especially the love and care she had for her granddaughter Mercedes.
Sandy and Gary were married on August 28, 1989 by Justice Bob Penix in Tuckerman, although they had met in 1971 and have known each other for almost 46 years.
Sandy was preceded in death by her Father; Norman Mayne.
Sandy is survived by her husband of over 27 years; Gary McGinnis of Tuckerman, her mother; Pauline (Reed) Mayne of Roseville, MI., two brothers; Glenn Mayne and wife Terry of Roseville, MI, Steven Mayne and wife Lori of Chesterfield Township, MI, five children; Suzan Wilson of MI, Gary McGinnis II of OK, Tina Smith of Tuckerman, James McGinnis of OK, Julie Ann Ellis of OK, seven grandchildren, Mariah, Micah, Dylan, Mercedes, Ashley, Scott, Gary III, her mother-in-law; Laura Jean McGinnis of Tuckerman, sister-in-laws; Teresa Odom, Sandra Fry, Cynthia Landers, brother-in-laws; Michael McGinnis, Tim McGinnis, and nephew; Adam Mayne of Roseville, MI.
